Widow of Kibra MP Ken Okoth, Monica Lavender, has expressed dissatisfaction with DNA results showing her late husband sired a son out of wedlock.
This is after test results released on Thursday, September 5, confirmed there was 99.99% chance Okoth was the biological father of Ann Muthoni Thumbi's five-year-old son.

Muthoni is a nominated member of Nairobi county assembly and according to court documents, the two first became friends in 2013 before falling in love later.
Through her lawyer, Monica suspected the outcome might have been doctored and now has until October 2, 2019, to file her own DNA results at the Nairobi court.
The specimens were extracted from the lawmaker's body before he was cremated at a private ceremony in Kariokor on the morning of Saturday, August 3.

In a sworn affidavit, the Nairobi politician demanded the minor be recognised as Okoth's only biological son and the heir apparent for that matter.
The clandestine affair was brought to light by Governor Mike Sonko during the MP's memorial mass on Thursday, August 1.
"During some medical camp in 2013, Ken met a beautiful nurse from Sonko Rescue Team with whom he bore a child. I am a witness to that effect. The two lovebirds did not hide the fact that they shared a son," he told mourners.Do you have a groundbreaking story you would like us to publish?
