The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has received the second coronavirus jab.
The seasoned politician urged those who fall in the priority groups to ensure they get inoculated to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.

The government had identified frontline health workers, teachers, police, and the military as the priority groups.
"This afternoon I got the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine jab. Having been a victim of this deadly virus I urge all those who are currently eligible for vaccination to get vaccinated. Raila became one of Kenya's top-ranking public figures who have battled the global infection.
He was hospitalised on Tuesday, March 9, after complaining of fatigue and body ache days after concluding a grueling tour in the coast region.

In a tweet on Thursday, April 15, Raila said that there was a need for African countries to act with speed to stem the spread of such new diseases.
"Africa producing its own vaccines in different places is a great step in the right direction. Climate Change is causing new and lethal diseases, so we need to act with speed. On Wednesday, April 14, AU announced the launch of a partnership to manufacture vaccines at five research centres to be built on the continent within the next 15 years.
The memorandum of understanding to boost African vaccine research and development and manufacturing was signed between the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), which helps run the global COVAX coronavirus vaccine-sharing programme public-private alliance Gavi and the World Health Organisation.
