Sophie Fatu charmed the America’s Got Talent judges at 5 years old in 2018. Now she’s starring in a new movie called Last Looks, co-starring Mel Gibson and Charlie Hunnam. Sophie’s mom Vicky has been posting about the movie on Instagram ahead of its release.
Sophie auditioned for AGT with a performance of Frank Sinatra’s song “My Way.” Judge Simon Cowell joked that he wanted Sophie and his son Eric to date. She later performed “New York, New York” in the Judge Cuts, but sadly didn’t make it to the Quarterfinals of Season 13.
Before appearing on AGT, Sophie had already been featured on Little Big Shots and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She also has a YouTube channel with over 400,000 subscribers. Sophie already has a few TV acting credits to her name, and now she’s adding movie actress to her résumé with a role in Last Looks.
Sophie is currently 9 years old, but production on the movie started in 2019, so she looks much younger. The movie, based on a mystery novel of the same name, stars Charlie Hunnam as a detective investigating a murder. Sophie plays the daughter of Mel Gibson’s character Alastair Pinch.

Sophie’s mom Vicky has been posting photos and videos from the set of Last Looks, including one clip where Sophie sings for the cast and crew, and Gibson sings along with her.
Sophie has also released music since her time on AGT. In 2019, she put out an EP called Love Is… Not to mention, she has even more acting projects in the works. She’s credited in the upcoming Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers movie, and a recent vlog showed her on the set of an HBO Max show.
Last Looks is set to be released February 4, 2022. It also stars Morena Baccarin, Dominic Monaghan, and Lucy Fry.
