“We have high standards at St. Gilberts. We expect every new pupil to uphold them,” a school official says in the trailer. “With that in mind, I want you all to make sure that our new students are made to feel right at home.” Throughout the trailer, the new kids are seen being stared at, photographed, taunted and occasionally supported by other St. Gilberts students.
“Boarders” is written by Daniel Lawrence Taylor with co-writers Emma Dennis-Edwards, Yemi Oyefuwa, and Ryan Calais Camero. Studio Lambert produces the series in association with All3Media International for the BBC. Executive producers include Taylor; Madeleine Sinclair and Susan Hogg for Studio Lambert; and Nawfal Faizullah and Ayela Butt for BBC. Ethosheia Hylton and Sarmad Masud serve as directors.
Taylor is best known as the creator and star of the ITV2 sitcom “Timewasters,” which at the BAFTAs received a nomination for best scripted comedy and earned Taylor the award for breakthrough Brit.
