Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has mourned the death of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji. The first-class traditional ruler joined his ancestors in the early hours of Sunday at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State. Naija News can now report that the body of the late monarch has arrived at the Popoyemoja Palace in Ibadan. His corpse, which was conveyed in a UCH ambulance, arrived at the palace at about 10:40am for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
